your prices are too high! Let's see. if you go to Walmart, it's only about 800$ for a TOSHIBA with 60HDD, 400GHZ, 512 MB, 4 USB ports , DVD-CDRW, wireless service... That's the laptop I have now. Besides, if you buy at Walmart, when it's about to out of warranty , you can change a new one So we can have one more new ,free laptop.

@Lan Anh: It's too heavy for petit girls like you. Mine is 4.2 pounds and I think it's kinda heavy.

Oh that. Having 5 of those things doesn't equal top notch reputation though. They are supposed to give you a vague idea of how many posts a member have had. Not that I care anyway.

The Onboard graphics chipset is based on the Radeon X300 core and is therefore fully DirectX 9 compliant, it also runs across the PCI-Express interface.

BO1D300 300GB OneTouch Personal Storage External Hard Drive For Laptop and Desktop Computers, giá $369.99;
hoặc tìm thêm, vào thử 2 links này:
http://www.xpcgear.com/300gbue720.html;
http://www.xpcgear.com/ufe7400300gb.html;
VD: HDD seagate 200Gb (internal), anh mua khoảng 40$.

Cách nay gần tháng, anh thấy ở CompUSA có bán VAIO VGN-FS650 (new) chỉ hơn 800 (after rebate).
http://www.dealsofamerica.com/
http://www.dealsea.com/

All dell machines are installed with WinXP. And unless you are a computer pro, you don't need windows pro. Media Edition should be sufficient but home is the cheapest alternative. And what's wrong with Dell? I got my 700m (1.8 GHz Centrino, 1GB Ram, 80GB Harddrive, DVD burner, 3 years McAfee) at $1350 (after 45% discount and $100 rebates). I am totally satisfied with it.

If i have 1,8 k, I'll buy a new Toshiba. Don't stick to IBM. There is nothing wrong with Dell (except the older lines that you probably won't buy now).

Dell/Toshiba/HP.

Things to consider:
chip
RAM. 2 sockets with >=1gb max.
DVD-RW is recommended but not necessary.
HDD >=60/80
Screen.
Weight.

They're going to replace XP anyway so don't care too much about the flatform. Bring cds of core programs from Vietnam is always good idea.

BUY A MAC!!! Seriously, it will still work after 5 years. It's also much more user-friendly. I just bought an Ibook G4 and loved it.

Also, because of that, I need to sell my old computer (it's only 1 yr and a half old), in perfect condition. It's a Dell Inspiron 1150. All programs installed. I have all the CDs for you as well. I am selling it for $500.
Let me know if you are interested.

btw, I have about 700 songs in Itunes, a lot of which I bought via music store. It's a nice bonus, isn't it?
