Board of Directors

Anh is passionate about helping his peers with college and career advice. In VietAbroader, he found exactly that. Anh co-chaired VietAbroader conference 2006 and was heavily involved with VietAbroader from 2007-2010 as Executive Director, helping transform the organization from an online forum into a non-profit organization serving the needs of thousands of members.

He has since stayed closed with VietAbroader's activities and is very excited about the opportunity to work with his friends to once again contribute to the transformation of VietAbroader into a new organization that caters to other needs of its members. Anh spends most of his time in a cubicle at Credit-Suisse as an Investment Banking analyst in the Tech, Media & Telecom group. He advises clients on various financial strategic alternatives. He is hoping to go to business school next year to come back to Asia soon and develop a career there. He is currently very interested in cross-border mergers & acquisitions activities and the alternative payment industry.

Outside of work and VietAbroader, Anh can be found talking to friends about life and advising juniors about internships / career. He is also a die-hard Manchester United fan and hopes to own shares of the football club once it goes public this year.

Board of Directors

Phuong has been a long-time friend and member of VietAbroader core team since her involvement with VietAbroader's first study abroad conference in 2005. Among her various involvement are VietAbroader Conference Co-Chair and former Executive Director when she helped VietAbroader transform from an annual study abroad conference to the number-one hub for U.S. College admission and scholarship information. Watching VietAbroader grow from a unknown student group to an organization of 20,000 active members, she is amazed at how much a group of passionate individuals with a common vision can do to help generations after generations of Vietnamese youth.

Joining the Board of Director, Phuong is hoping to create a stronger identity for VietAbroader through a series of new initiatives that will not only create a meaningful network but also a supportive community among VietAbroaders in the U.S. and Vietnam.

Phuong is a Fixed Income and Mortgage Analyst at Bloomberg L.P. in New York, where she is responsible for handling multiple inquiries simultaneously and providing customized solutions using the Bloomberg Professional Service. She also provides client training and works with Sales Associates to prospect new businesses and displace competitors in the Fixed Income and Mortgage space. Phuong will be moving to Terminal Sales as an Associate in 2012.

Phuong attended Hanoi-Amsterdam High School and enrolled in St. Lawrence University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a major in Economics and Mathematics. During her undergraduate career, Phuong was a Daniel F.’65 and Ann Sullivan Fellow and a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Mu Epsilon. She is a lover of wine, home-cooked meals, yoga and endurance sports.
