VietAbroader is accepting applications for several positions within the executive team. We are looking for outstanding individuals to serve the organization as Executive Directors, Treasurer, IT officers and Project Manager for VApedia. All VietAbroader members, whether or not previously involved in VietAbroader activities, are encouraged to apply. 

WHAT IS VIETABROADER?
Founded in 2004, VietAbroader is a student-run, non-profit organization that promotes educational opportunities, professional networking and social entrepreneurship to empower Vietnamese youth. We partner with the Institute for International Education (IIE), IDG Ventures, Unilever, Eurocham, among others, to organize programs serving Vietnamese students and young professionals. POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

1. Co-President - 2 positions:
VietAbroader ("VA") is seeking two Co-Presidents to lead and develop our initiatives. The Co-Presidents will work closely with the Board of Directors, community members, strategic partners and other VA leaders to ensure the achievement of VA's mission through successful implementation of our programs, fundraising initiatives and strategic plans. Our ideal candidates will bring a visionary approach to organizational development and promotion of the Vietnamese network worldwide. The individuals will be resourceful, highly organized, a team builder, a critical and analytical thinker, self-reflective and open to growth and learning. The Executive Directors will be committed to working with people from diverse cultural, economic, educational, and vocational backgrounds. 

2. Treasurer - 1 position:
VietAbroader ("VA") is seeking a Treasurer to provide leadership and management of the organization’s financial, investment and business planning. The Treasurer will work closely with the Co-Presidents and the Board to ensure VA's financial health, produces annual financial reports and manage tax-related paperwork. The Treasurer is further entrusted with gatekeeping VA accounts.

3. Head of IT: 2 positions
VietAbroader ("VA") is seeking two IT officers to provide management of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including the host server, the forum, Wikipedia Media, and the official website. The IT officers are further expected to lead our initiative to obtain a new design for our website. 
All positions are one-year term, with option to re-run for up to 3 years.

4. Project Manager for VApedia: 1 position
VietAbroader is seeking a project manager to monitor, maintain and update VApedia, a collection of articles written by VietAbroader members modeled after Wikipedia. VApedia was established to provide structure and convenient accessibility to the wealth of knowledge and information that VietAbroader members have contributed over the years. Topics featured include insiders' guide to top colleges, reflections of past successful college applicants, and general topics about US admission written by Vietnamese students for Vietnamese students. 

Primary responsibilities:

• Monitor content updates regularly to maintain the accuracy and organization of VApedia with close attention to content, language and citation

• Regularly migrate and compile reliable sources of information from VietAbroader forum to VApedia in an article format

• In charge of recruiting and leading a team of contributors if necessary

Term: 1 year, with option to re-run for up to 3 years

Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week year round with daily check up on site for content change
